Inverted Roller Screw (IRS)
The Inverted Roller Screw (IRS) is the exact inverse of the standard roller screw (SRS). The rollers do not move axially along the shaft and the stroke travels within a larger nut. Our solutions enable higher capacity ratings with smaller leads which reduce the driving torque, optimizing compactness and making direct guiding of the shaft possible. The IRS is available from range Ø8 mm to Ø80 mm for the screw with various leads and the nut can be customized to meet specific customer requirements.
This design is often an excellent option if you wish to design a very compact actuator with a rotating nut.
